Hello there.

I'm new to this FlightSim forum, so dont be surprised i make mistakes.

Anyway the problem is i cant change my GPU form Intel®HD Graphics 4000 to my nvidia GPU. I have changed all .exe files in the FSX directory. The game shows only the integrated GPU: http://prntscr.com/5dutcf Game is verry laggy without my GPU.

Any help please.

Thank you.

John

im not using any Service Packs

No service packs.....No Acceleration also?? If not, you may need Sp1 and Sp2 installed before your other GPU will show as a choice. DX10 preview unchecked?

If he doesn't have SP2 installed, there won't be a DX10 option available.

Thanks, loki! Good info to file away in my Infinitely Indexed Memory Bank.

Now if we can just get him away from his Colin kapernack answers and get some info, maybe we can help!

Make sure the monitor is connected to the connector on the back of the videocard.

Make sure no cables are connected to the onboard connectors.

It should then switch to using the videocard automatically.

At the bottom of this page is an image of the back of a computer.

The connectors at the top are the onboard connectors (attached to the motherboard).

The three connectors at the bottom (blue, black, white) are the three connectors of the videocard.

Always switch off the monitor, switch off the computer and disconnect the computer power cord before disconnecting or connecting monitor cables. If you don't a monitor can get damaged.
