Also, check out the X-Plane Plane-Maker manual, as this also contains a wealth of information: http://www.x-plane.com/files/manuals/Plane_Maker_manual.pdf In terms of how well an aircraft performs, relative to its real life counterpart, depends entirely on how well it has been modelled by the author. If you check out the reviews section, over at the X-Plane landing page, you'll find a plethora of detailed evaluations: https://www.flightsim.com/vbfs/list.php?section/4-Reviews&category=36 Take your time and explore.
