CessnaFlyer Posted November 8, 2014 Share Posted November 8, 2014 hi guys sorry I haven sick for the last week and half could not be here :(. but any way I got a new laptop and it has MacAfee in free in it. do you guys know if Microsoft security essentials is compatible with windows 8.1? StringBean Posted November 8, 2014 Share Posted November 8, 2014 MSSE does not work with Win8. Win8 comes with Windows Defender as a replacement. That is all I use on my Win8 machine and I have had no problems. Of course I stay away from questionable websites, do not open e-mail unless I know the sender, etc. Personal behavior is the best AV there is. peace, the Bean WWOD---What Would Opa Do?
