having strange graphics issues with FSX...as seen in the pics...sun halo off center from sun, weird black squares around lights and building shadows visible thru the clouds....

running an intel 3770k at 4.8GHz, 32GB ram and and ATI 7970...any ideas?

"black squares" usually indicate a corrupted effects file (or a bad texture file). Search the file library here for "gauges_recovery_fsx.zip"...it will restore your effects files.

I don't care what CPU you have, you CAN'T run it at 4.8 Ghz and expect stable performance. So I am not surprised you have ''graphic issues'. Clock it back to 4.5 Ghz (1.3 volts) and see if things (video) improve. That is my guess. And I hope you have liquid cooling-or else.
