Have you downloaded/installed the base installer? You need
that first before you can add any airlines/aircraft.

I have also gotten that message too. I was installing the PAI Lufthansa AI, and I was using the executable installing file. The flightplans didn't show up in the flightplans.txt, and neither did the aircraft show up. It is just better to do everything manually, so nothing unexpected occurs. If you need help go to projectai.com, and find their tutorial. It should help.
