Default FSD Cheyenne Service Release now available

You can find a link to it, and a complete description, on the Cheyenne FAQ page. Just go to our Tech Support section.

You can also link to it from our Files and Installation page.

We hope you enjoy the enhancements we are offering. Keep the blue on top!

If one applies this update they will no longer be able to select the aircraft on the create flight screen. You changed the .air file name by adding a v2 but you didn't update the sim= line in the aircraft.cfg file to reflect this change.

The updated line should read: sim=FSD Piper Cheyenne 400 v2

Only if you had a custom startup situation which uses the Cheyenne. We did change the name of the .air file.

But if this is the case, the simulator will simply show a warning message, and reload the FS default startup (with the Cessna).

Nope, I have no custom startup situation of any kind. Only thing I've ever done with the Cheyenne other than fly it is install it and install the update.

Just run the Load Manager. That will put the correct Aircraft.cfg entries in for you.

Tim, I fixed the entry myself. The purpose of my message was to let others know how to fix it if it happened to them. Since it happened to me it might happen to others and you might consider a readme outlining the fix if needed.

LAST EDITED ON Sep-13-02 AT 07:59PM (EDT)[p]I had the same problem but all I did was run the load out manager and then started FS2002 and it was there. No big deal. BTW it is very nice to have the barber pole on the airspeed working. Feels like I just got her back from the shop all polished and ready to fly! I can't wait for it to get dark so I can check out the new cockpit lighting.
