Thread: The best plane money can buy?

  1. Default The best plane money can buy?

And that I can run :)

Ive already got the DF 737 (I cant run that properly, I yanked the panel and dynamics over to the default one).

    My system:
    Compaq EP/SB
    P3 450
    Siluro GeForce 2 MX400 64 meg
    192 MB SDRAM
    XP Pro.

Im thinking airliners mainly, possible light, in the region of around 30-ish US bucks.

Id like a nice 747 too, or something like that.
(Note: I mean flight dynamics and realism wise. I dont care if the outside model deosnt have all 40382x10^12 rivets, I just want something I can run and is realistic. Something in the order of a 30 minute start up procedue.)

767PIC is looking good too...im thinking about that.

    Thanks

    Anthony

Anthony I would highly recomend the 767 pilot in command. I tried downloading the DF 737 but didn't have the funds available to pay for the download code:( I tell you what, if you can wait Wilco is coming out with the A320 sim later this month and thats probably just what you are looking for!~:)

I would HIGHLY recommend 767PIC also!!It's well worth the $34.Some say it is even more realistic than the DF734,but they both have their different uniquenesses.Or you could wait for the A320PIC...Take a look at this site:

    http://phoenix-simulation.co.uk/

They have the Airbus A320 family, Boeing 777 and 747.I would recommend buying any of aircraft that I have mentioned.

PSS Airbus is excellent. Same class as the DF737 for operations.
PSS 747-400 is an excellent 747. Maybe an FS2000 model but still the best 747 panel in existence (and you can mate it with POSKY aircraft if you want to.

I've now seen both the PSS 747 and 777 combined in a box for about €40.--
That's one heck of a good deal if you like widebodies and don't have one of them yet (I already have the 777, and I like that a lot).

    I didn't know aircraft could mate :-).

    Anyway, heres my 2 cents...

Best Turbo/prop: Flight1 Cessna 421C Golden Eagle (Love the frame rate friendly VC!)

Best Single Prop: Dreamfleet Cessna 177 Cardinal (All the eye candy you ever need)

Best Airliner: PSS 747-400 (But I usually fly the default, curse those addicting virtual cockpits :-lol).

My absolute favorite payware aircraft: Cessna 421C Golden Eagle :D

***WARNING*** These are my personal opinions, not the opinions of the people, who may like different airliners and such then I have stated, being a big fan of the 747-400, therefore this is my personal list of favorite payware aircraft, the only ones I have as of this current moment, I am not responsible for damage to your computer and or eyes in reading this warning... ***WARNING***

I think I went a little far with the warning :-lol

    Hey Erik,

Have the 421C but it is nearly unflyable because of the low frame rates. What is this "frame rate friendly VC" you speak of? Would certainly like to know more!

    Thanks

    Hmmmm...Hey Haskell,

I'm getting frame rates around 14-17 in VC, with really smooth scrolling - this is at my test area of KLAX 12:33pm pacific., active runway, etc to 5 miles out. all sliders hard right except clouds and visibility. These suit me pretty good. No lurching, sparkling or such.
