Why are there no reflections on aircraft at night?

I can't see reflections at night on aircraft that have
reflections.

Probably because the 'reflections' are not really reflections - try flying from land to sea at low level. The reflections do not change colour! My guess is at night, reflections are turned off or it's just too dark to see them.
