Oh man your computer's pretty slow I had one about that slow and on medium settings I had nothing faster than about 10-14 FPS so.....I would either recommend putting your settings pretty low because even though your graphics card might be OK-ish your processor won't be able to handle too much (I speak from experience), or just get FS2004 because it will run a lot better and you will most likely enjoy it a lot more.

Sorry, that probably wasn't what you wanted to hear

No it definitely would start-I had a computer like that (1.40 GHz, 2GB RAM, 128 MB graphics) and I ran FSX-however I never, ever achieved more than 15 FPS and my drivers often failed, causing FSX to crash...

Anyways, I understand, its a typo, I suggest you starting a new thread instead of disturbing the old one.

Anything less than 3 GHz and less than 4 cores will have to struggle with medium or lower settings.
With CPUs that exceed this, the settings you can have vary greatly with your personal tweaking skill, Gcard capability, scenery and aircraft selection, cloud texture complexity and density and what you are personally willing to live with in trying to balance scenery density against smoothness.

There is no one size fits all for anyone.

My spec CPU it low, but settings in FSX- High, Med. Global High, water 2x.high, Cars, boats, so on at 50%, air traffic low/med.
using SP1 and 2. CFG tweaked FPS at Seattle airport 24=28 FPS other airports 25-38 Happy Camper.
My laptop runs FS9 real good, FPS 28-35
I tried FSX Demo on my Laptop, forget it, was getting 14-19FPS could get higher FPS by tweaking the CFG and using SP1 only, SP2 brings FPS down to 3-5 FPS, jusy by experince with the Desk top, but when Tweaking the CFG I gain about 3 FPS more.
