I keep all (well most) of my addon scenery outside the FS folder and all of it has been added through the Scenery Library.

    ???
FS starts in the FS9 folder when you want to add an area but FS will look anywhere you want it to. All you have to do is navigate to the desired location in the Scenery Library Window.

Relative paths work fine too, in fact that is how FS writes them.

Your addon scenery problem..... after selecting the scenery folder and pressing ok you need to left click inside the white folder area for the scenery to be added.

I follow the steps but the scenery is not added. When in the Select Scenery Directory window, I navigate until when clicking on the folder its full path appears in the Directory field, then when clicking Ok it may do nothing or even enter the scenery folder, and clicking in Ok does nothing. I can only exit clicking Cancel, then the scenery is not added. I try with diffferent sceneries. But as I am writing this, seems that by clicking in the white area...thanks.

Yep, for System 7 and later you need to left click the white area to get it added AFTER you click OK.

I've found with my FS 9.1 Install that whenever I add Scenery, I click on the File Folder, then click OK. When the Scenery & Texture Folders show, I click on (get this) the
'Go To Last Folder Visited' icon (the one with the blue back Arrow), and the Scenery shows up in the FS Scenery List, at the top!

    Go figure...
