    Default Tomahawkin' in the PNW

Well all, back with my first full post. ORBX PNW with one of my favorite little aircraft, the Piper Tomahawk from Just Flight. Learning to fly on a real Tomahawk gives me a soft spot for this little bird --- just love to fly her....

Here's the series, hope you like 'em...

Getting Ready to leave Stark's Hangar. Hope they fixed her right!

Great set! Only saw a Tomahawk in RL once. Interesting little bird. Smaller than the C150 I'm learning on. That T-Tail must be interesting as it must not get as much prop-wash as in conventional elevators.

Thanks Alex, appreciated! . It is a very squirrely little bird, that is for sure, but I do love flying her. Never gets dull.

Thanks John..I'm really enjoying Portland. Will work around the rest of the PNW soon, I'm sure.

Great shots John, some people give the Tomahawk a bit of a bad rap but I've always thought it's a good little trainer, I've tended to feel more confident sending people solo in them than the Grumman AA-1 which is a bit less forgiving of handling errors, especially on landing. To be fair some of them are getting a bit old and tired though. The one I've done the most time in is owned by an aircraft maintenance engineer and as to be expected is in immaculate condition! It's painted bright red and has the registration ZK-EVL which certainly gets a bit of attention!

Good to see you back, Johnny. Very nice shots and a great little plane. I've only flown one once. I found it very nice, but it kept you on your toes. Thanks got the post...
