Adam, I became interested in the Edmund Fitzgerald because of Gordon Lightfoot's hitsong. Since then I read every article about this great ship. It's a good thing there are many vids available on YouTube.
Here's the link to Gordon Lightfoot's song: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K6DUFPNILvM (there are dozen's of vids available)

Gordon Lightfoot is one of my favorite singers. I have enjoyed all of his sounds and The Edmund Fitzgerald is one of my favorites. Thanks for the You Tube post.

Your passengers look like they had a very "hair-raising" experience! Nice shots. Love the Fitz! Also have it in my shipping fleet.

So that's what happened to the Edmund Fitzgerald!
I might have known Jan would be involved somehow.

The legend lives on from the Chippewa on down
of the big lake they called "Gitche Gumee."
The lake, it is said, never gives up her dead
when the skies of November turn gloomy.

Thanks for the song Gordie. — Bob

I don't know but it's starting to get mysterious here with all those dark stormy shots and songs about sunk ships...

KCD: "Now there's that crazy Dutchman; I warned him about messing around with my new and secret submarine. Wouldn't you think in a lake as large as this one he could find somewhere else to play. Ooopps... he looks like he's headed for that uncharted ledge, Sonar, see if you can determine what radio channel he's monitoring and we'll warn him."

Sonar: "I cannot determine the radio channel. It sounds like old WW I music, foot stomping, hollering, singing, and otherwise carrying on. You don't suppose tha Dutch Nobleman is having one of his famous 'Fly-Ins' shipboard do you?"

KCD: "Could be, he has them every five minutes. It's the way of things when you are Noble and rich."

Sonar: Do you suppose we should surface and try to warn him about the ledge? He could rip the bottom out of the "Fitz" and go doun in seconds."

KCD: "Naw, Jan is a significant authority on landing aircraft of all types and an expert navigatorand ship handler; he knows what he's doing. We'll just sit quietly and watch, all stop! But if he hits the ledge, we slink quietly away, don't want to be involved in that kind of mess, they'll probably write poems and songs about it."
