helicopter problem

can someone help me with the helicopter, never used to have this problem, but i cant get the copters to take off. the gauge with the 2 needles will not go to the green area when i throttle up, unless i depress Ctrl-F4 and keep it depressed. as soon as i release them the needles, along with the copter come tumling down. can someone help?

The two needles represent the rpm of the rotor. You need to keep the throttle down untill the needles reach the green area. The chopper wont go up unless they are. Sorry I can't be a little more specific but I don't have FS intalled right now.
