Thread: FS2004 Memory Error With No Warning

  1. Default FS2004 Memory Error With No Warning

    Hi All,

I've recently been having this issue. Ill be playing FS9 for a decent amount of time (but nothing out of the ordinary), and I will suddenly develop an issue where the screen starts disappearing. And what I mean by that is, starting at the bottom, a black area the width of the screen begins to move up, taking up more and more of the screen. At the point it starts occuring, I cannot access the menu's, and am forced to shut down the simulator. It is quite agitating, and I have done nothing recently that would prevoke such an issue. The latest incident occured flying PMDG's B1900D at a freeware airport.

    Operating Windows 7 Home Premium w/Service Pack 1 64-bit
    HP Pavillion G6 Laptop
    Intel Core TM i3 CPU
    M 370 @2.40 GHz
    RAM 4.00 GB

Haven't had this issue before, so Im a little confused about it.

    Any help is appreciated

    Bill

Sounds to me like a hardware issue, I'm thinking heat might be the problem.

That is the challenge with laptops. They don't breathe as freely as towers and are harder to clean the dust bunnies out of.

I hope that I am wrong, but I would suggest you try to monitor your temps and see if they are excessive.

For more help with that you may want to post in the hardware forum.

    peace,
