FSX- Honolulu Scenery crash

Hi Guys, thanks for looking in

I cannot fly over the default honolulu scenery and just bought the FSDT Scenery!!! I would not have bought it of course if I knew the problem with the default scenery but just found out that way. Any idea on how to restore the area scenery without having to reinstall the all game. please?

Any support is really appreciated.

Un install the scenery using the uninstaller.

I have done that but what I found out was that even when the FSDT scenery was uninstalled and I tried to use the default scenery, the problem remained so I am assuming its down to the default scenery to be fixed. I just wanted to repair the scenery around PHNL without having to uninstall FSX completely.

Put DVD 1 in your drive and do a Repair Install.

done that too. When I inserted the CD1 it warned me that an upgrade would be installed and when I clicked "yes" to proceed it said that the upgrade was already installed. I can only assume it refers to SP1 and SP2 which I have installed....! And that was it no repair option available..!!Oh man...I can see the worst coming....!

That I have never seen.

Uninstall SP2 then SP1. Now run Repair.

Actually, for some reason, I have only uninstalled and reinstalled SP2 and it worked. All I had to repair after that was the EditVoicePack and FSDT PHNL is working just fine.

A mystery, but at least you got it up and running. I have FSDT's McCarran (Vegas),and absolutely love it. If you haven't checked it out yet, check out Ground Services X from the same publisher. It's free for the airport you just bought. It's a must-have, IMO...
