    Negative.
on starting the install select ADVANCED INSTALL or whatever the tick-box actually says. Allowing the default install procedure will cause much grief later. Much better to install OUTSIDE of program files; such as C:\FSX or into a totally different HDD/SSD (D:\FSX)

FSX itself doesn't care where it is installed...

Do not disable UAC just to install FSX.

Just use the control panel to uninstall and then reinstall in the right place.

    I installed fsx in C:\Program Files(x86)\Microsoft games\

That is fine, there is nothing wrong with installing it to the default location, regardless of other opinions. And it makes installing addons later a lot easier, you don't have to keep chasing the 'browse' button to find the correct path.

Yes, so uninstall and re-install outside of that folder.

Edit: Just as having UAC turned off is a bad idea. Wait until a file needs to be edited and Windows will not allow it. Add-ons will be just fine and you can easily remember that your FSX is installed to C:\FSX

That doesn't take too much brain memory power.

Edit Edit: Most modern installers read the install path from the Windows registry and you will not be using the browse button too many times in your lifetime.
