One addon I strongly suggest is Fswidgets. They make a free GPS addon for flight. That allows you to use FSX,FS9 or whatever FS flight planner to make a flight plan. Then that flight plan is imported into their program called gmap. That gmap will display your route over any google map and your position. You can purchas aviation maps such as sectionals for Alaska from them for only $10 that will show terrain nav radio feq, airspace, etc. This can all be displayed on a tablet, another monitor, or on your main display. I am not trying to plug for them but in the flight world of few addons this one is a must.

I've somewhat gone into flying depression after the demise of Flight. There's nothing to look forward to that give me hope of another big leap in technology. Every other effort out there is struggling to catch up to what Flight was (graphics, performance, flight model). FS9 doesn't have the same luster anymore and moving to FSX or P3D doesn't feel the same anymore. I've gone into other ventures now until that spark from somewhere captures my attention again. Flying for real is too expensive for me at the moment. Maybe when the i8 machines come out I'll try FSX. I still enjoy Flight and wonder what it could have evolved into. I'm glad we got a little peak at what can really be accomplished it's just MS is too stupid to innovate anymore. You can see this is most of their products.

Agreed. I fly and I can tell you that the feel of Flight is closer to the real thing than the other sims that I have. I have not tried Aerofly FS but I do have XPlane, FSX, and Prepar3d. For feel I give Prepar3d a close 2nd to Flight for feel.

I know it is not popular opinion but there is still hope for Flight. MS did sell the FSX/ESP to LM (Prepar3d). They could sell Flight too. When I look at what LM have done to the old FSX/ESP code I get excited to think what a company could do to Flight. So when everyone thinks that MS would never sell Flight, just remember they already sold one flight sim they could do it again.

MS only licensed the ESP code to LM, and that was because LM had already started using it. One can hope someone will make an offer for Flight, but I don't think there's much chance of it.

Sorry all, but we went from screen shots, to how many users, to business analysis, to P3D here.
    Thanks,
