Default New to FSX, need advice

Hi guys, first off all i am sorry for my english, i live in Croatia and my english is not as good as it should be..

    Now to the point,

I am not new to FSX, have already played it 4 years ago, had a X52 Pro Hotas setup, used Vatsim, and it got me held up a month or two, flying atleast 2 hours daily..after work.. but stopped, and here i am again..on the beggining..

Now here are a few exact questions, first time i played FSX i didnt use any addons, this time i already purchased some Just Flight addons (Cargo pilot, Air Hauler) and both are fine, but i would also like some aircraft addons, and so i also purchased :
    - Just Flight 737 proffesional
    - Aerosoft Airbus X
    - Wilco Airbus series 1 and 2
    - The Pilatus PC12
    - Feelthere Embrear
    - A2A Wings of Silver 377
    - Just Flight 757

Also i got a bundle from HIFI- active sky x, x graphics and x pax..

But my problem is thath non of the payware aircraft i purchased i cant fly, because first of all, i cant read any of the labels in the cockpit view..and all of these are a bit complex for me, especially using the MCDU..

So my concern is that i wasted a quite a bit of money buying something i cant see, or use..

    Any advice from you experts..

    Tnx in advance..

    Kind regards, Bubi.

Nothing wrong with your English. Better than a lot of people I know.

I would say the fix for the hard to read labels, press the spacebar and hold it while you pan around with the mouse (zoom with the scroll bar) As for the systems, read the manuals, watch Youtube videos about the plane, or even just Google an individual question you might have or post it here! I do not have all of those aircraft, but do have the the Airbus X and it does have a nice cockpit, and if you zoom in a little, you can read it quite easily. It also does have helpful documentation included. I recommend you read the aircraft manuals and try to fly it after you have read the basics, and after a while, you will get it!
Hope to see ya in the virtual skies soon!

Another good suggestion is to make sure you FSX resolution is the same as your computer screen resolution. It makes reading the small print easier.

    Mr Zippy

Emachines T3418 AMD 3400+ processor 2Gig Hz/256KB L2 Cashe 2Gig Ram 160Gig HDD nVidia GeForce 6100 GPU Running Windows XP Home Pretty old Huh?? It works!!! Running FSX "Standard" with SP1 and SP2

Take everything I say with a grain of salt and maybe some pepper! There's no such thing as too much garlic!

thnx guys..the resolution is the same..and i managed to zoom in..but now have a different question, how can i program a route for the wilco airbus, because when i load a fsx route, for example LDZA-LDPL it shows a flight plan discontuinty and wont let me use nav mode when using autopilot..

If you do some MCDU tutorial searches on Youtube, you can find some good videos. I did this to learn how to use the Airbus X MCDU and with time and practice, you can get more used to them. If you use the flight planner within FSX, your flight plan can be automatically loaded straight into the MCDUs of some addons, namely the Airbus X. To enhance your general FSX experience, I highly recommend REX Overdrive, GEX and UTX and I'm sure others can second that. You seem to have solved your panel problem, so moving on...

If the Wilco Airbus is anything like the Airbus X, you cannot fly a direct route using nav. You need to fly VOR to VOR and the VORs must be in the appropriate Service Volume ranges. So upto altitudes of 12000ft at radial distances of 25NM apart, utpo FL180 at radial distances of 40NM apart and upto FL450 at radial distances of 100-130NM apart. Then you can fly nav. I had trouble with my Aerosoft Airbus A320 as I underestimated how realistic it is and so I realised that I had to fly VOR to VOR to use the nav, otherwise the aircraft has a mind of its own. Your flight plan needs to be immaculate to fly on nav.

    Regards, Bob.

You can simply delete the discontinuity by pressing CLR and than the line that says discontinuity in the flightplan. In the real world of course here you would enter your SID departure and STAR approache.
