Default 757.zip - No panel display

Has anyone downloaded the 77mb file 757.zip for FSX by Mateus Cosenza? First off, the sound effects are AWESOME as are the exterior panels. However, when in Cockpit view all of the panels are missing. The templates are there but there is no digital horizon indicator. If I press "W" I can get most of the six-pack but that takes away from the experience if I can't fly it. Does anyone have a fix I might try?

    Thanks in Advance!

    Hi:

I don't have this. But, this 757.zip file is only a livery pack....

Could you tell which base 757 model are you using these with? The README did not have any information.

I was under the impression it was a stand-alone file with two 757 models. Looking back at the file description it does say livery pack. But like you I'm in the dark as well. Do you know if it can be adapted to the default 737 panel in FSX? If not, I may just have to enjoy flying it visually.

That file is not just a livery pack.

It is a Posky 757 from FS9 ported over to FSX.

It uses many gauges from FS9 including gauges from the default FS9 B777, which I think are actually from FS2k2.

These gauges do not work in FSX.

As the model is not FSX native, there is no way to use the FSX B738 VC, though you could use the gauges.

StringBean: That fully explains it. Thanks.

    @Andrew:

BTW, if you haven't already, look into the JF Freemium 757. Many of us here own it, and I think you will like it. Here is the information.

Just type "freemium 757" in the search box on the Just Flight website.

    And, welcome to the Forum.

Thanks to you both - I'll try the JF Freemium 757 model.

I was a member for many years, but never used the forums. Then in 2010 my profile was deleted (not sure why) and I created this one. I've been flight simming since FS 5.0.

If you want to be able to use older gauge files in FSX, download the file extention "msvcr70.dll" & install into your FSX main directory. I use this file & the Posky B777 VC works in my FSX using the default FS9 B777 gauges.

That's a great tip, Paul. Thanks for posting.

For those that have it, that .dll is part of your FS9 install and you can copy that one, as opposed to getting it from the web.
