Default "Memory Out Of Space" came out more than 10 times

    Hi,

i face this problem again and again. im using fs2004, window vista. every single min i fly and this qoute came out, ur memory space is out and u need to clean it up. i do this every single time to clean up but it seem no improvement.

i look at my hard disk and there is more than half space. 318GB free of 465 GB.

can anyone advise me what can i do to solve this problem? does it related to AI flightplan that i edit n add up more AI traffic? or does it related to airport that i download?

i would appreciate if can resolve this matter.

    regard,
    Lim

It is likely related to a scenery you have installed. What airports have you installed recently ?

If you'll pardon the pun, you need to search YOUR memory. Something has changed since last weekend that has provoked this. You need to find what it was.

Someone in previous posts mentioned that empty scenery folders can trigger this. When you installed those british airports, what else did you change? Have you tidied up something?

    Hi Steve,

i did change something. i add few flightplan on AI. then i also download the aes 2.24 and add the credit for those airport tht is update.

so i wasnt sure is the AI and aes cause this problem.

how can i search my memory?

possibly when you added AI flightplans you added or changed some AI aircraft so that now you may have more than 1 aircraft with an identical title= entry in the aircraft.cfg file. I believe there is a program that will scan for such errors, but at the moment I cannot recall the name of it. But I can tell you this very definitely, having more than 1 AI aircraft with an identical title= entry in the aircraft.cfg will cause OOM errors when that particular AI is being used by the sim.

p.s. no need to call me Capt folks, Capt Flappers is just a name my wife teases me with because of my flight sim obsession.

I suggest first you disable those airports in the scenery library.... no need to uninstall just yet.

Then try the sim and see if you get a memory problem.

It is also possible your AI aircraft is causing a problem...a faulty texture. You can test this by turning the AI % to 0

Test these one at a time.

And Lim the problem is not the space on your hard drive, but the virtual memory on the computer being used up, usually from some bad scenery or AI.
    Thanks,

    Jim

    Hello
I occasionally get the "out of memory" message as well. In my case this is easily solved.
If I attempt to run FS9 and forget to shut down Windows live mail (and also my SETI search application )I get (not every time strangely enough) the insufficient memory message .The solution!!! switch of the afore mentioned apps, and much sim flying joy is then to be had. So far this course of action has always worked, so in my case its not a scenery problem.
