It might be just me but I have always struggled with the spring centreing on my joystick, so I took an old one apart and removed the spring. I find it so much easier to control and can even manage to land on carrier decks (sometimes). Has anybody else ever tried this? It seems more like a real joystick as far as I remember from my cadet days, I have searched quite a bit on various sites and not found any info relating to this.
