Already??

So no more development for Flight.

That sucks.

After a shaky start I really grew to like the product.
Iv played FS from the old 98 product up.
After fighting with FSX trying to get the best performance and graphics I was happy to see that with Flight... they had finnaly streamlined the render engine!.
Multi core support... Makes a differance.

I liked the distridution method too.. Being able to almost seamlessly purchase and install a aircraft was a nice touch.
The free flight was awesome too, the rendering and terain detail was fantastic.
Flying with the mouse was a nice change too...
I enjoyed the "Jobs" also. Endless missions to take you all over the area and force you to plan ahead. When your lugging 800lbs of cargo, you actualy have to think about fuel weight, and "maybe I should go around that mountain"...

I thought the product had a lot of promice.
Slowly bringing in other areas, and bigger planes.


Of course, this is MS...
Their ability to look forward is a little... stunted.
They tend to do what they want, not what the comsumer wants...

SO!! Onto xPlane i think.

I may consider FSX again... But the hassle of installing, setup, tweeking and of course its total lack of support for todays hardware.......

I didn't expect Flight to last long but cutting it this soon is even a shock for me...shows how MS has taken a turn for the worst, buying Rareware, ruining them, and now grinding the Flight Sim franchise into dust. A real, big shame, Flight could of been something if it wasn't for the mindless Directors hugging for money off every bit instead of thinking of the community. The next few months will be interesting to see what will happen to The Flight/ Flight Sim franchise, but don't worry, we've always got FSX and it's "quality" coding. *Curls up into ball*
