    Default REX Essentials

    Hi
I am having a problem trying to install REX Esentials and cannot make any sense of the REX support forum.
When I start the installation I get an error message refering to the Cab1 cab file "Verify that the file exists and that you can access it "
My OS is Windows 7 64 bit
Can anyone help with simple install instructions please ?
    Many Thanks
    steve

Is this a download install or a DVD install?
    Thanks,

    Jim

And all the downloaded files are in one folder?

Are you are logged onto the computer under an Administrator account?
    Thanks,

    Jim

i downloaded this from Flightsim store, it came as a Zip file.
When I unzip the file I get the following zip files...........
    Cab1.cab
    Cab11.cab
    Cab12.cab
    Cab13.cab
    Cab14.cab
    Cab15.cab
    Cab16.cab
    REXEssential.exe.

When I try to run the exe file I get the error message relating to Cab1.cab
There does not to be any manual explaining how to install the product.
'fraid I'm not very PC literate I don't think I'm logged in under an administrator account.

When you unzipped, did the above named files all end up in one folder?

Try right mouse clicking on the REXEssential.exe file and Run.....As Administrator.
    Thanks,

    Jim

I had the same thing happened to me. I went back to the zip file and unpacked the Cab1 file again and overwrote the one that unpacked with all other files. I ran the .exe again (run as admin of course) and it installed perfectly.

Interesting. Since you posted your question at 6:46 in the REX forums this morning and then after getting instructions on how to solve the Cab1 problem, you would post again here after you said the problem was resolved at 11:46 today.
