Thread: Jagged lines (nvidia inspector etc...)

  1. Default Jagged lines (nvidia inspector etc...)

til my last windows reboot, everything was working fine, I managed to eliminate even the tiniest jagged texture and 95% of the shimmer effect using nhancer and an old nvidia driver. After I rebooted windows, reinstalled FS, same driver, same nhancer using the same settings I used before, jagged lines and shimmer effect came back. I don't have the smallest idea whats wrong.

Anyway, when it was working, the most important thing I had to turn on in nhancer (that solved the jaggies and shimmer effect) was gamma correction.

So, seeing that my old configuration wasn't working, I installed the newest driver along with nvidia inspector. Nick's settings (or whatever his name is) = fail in my case. It's worst then not having anything "pumped" in nvidia inspector.

I don't know what to do, honestly I'm tired of reading 10 billion opinions and tutorials.

I SIMPLY NEED someone who managed to eliminate the jagged textures and most of the shimmer effect to tell me how he did it.

    Thanks

Last time I checked, Nhancer does not run on the latest drivers. Inspector does a great job. I use the Inspector profile for FS9 and have none of the problems that you are having.

well my first question is whats the computer set up? ram and video? you don't say what kind of nvidia it is. is it pci-e? how powerful is the card? is it 256 or 1gb?

That's why I was using an old driver while using nhancer. So, like I said, post a screenshot with your inspector settings...simple enough?

ok for one thing we do not need the caps. we're trying to help you here. if you have an intigrated graphics card in your pc as all of mine do. if you do not disable them they can cause trouble for the add-on graphics card. i knnow i been there done that. now you also said that you rolled back to the old drivers. did you unistall the new ones before rolling back?

there's no integrated graphics card. no, I directly installed the old driver.

I noticed that if I uncheck "Enhance in-game AA setting" in Nhancer, the plane looks like it should look in the preview "image" in the main menu. But not in-game.

I don't know what else to think of, I'm pretty sure everything is like it always was....I mean that's what I'm trying to say and you don't seem to understand completely, everything is the same as before (when it used to work perfect). I can see that the Nhancer settings have affected the game though but not 100%, the shimmering is impossible and there are the rough edges...before, I could zoom out all the way and the plane had no rough edge

have you tried windows updates? you may need to update your pc to solve some more problems. or if you have more then one pc put this card into the other pc and see if it works better on the other one?

what should I update? I don't have automatic updates turned on because it will download stuff 24/7. no, I don't have a second PC

I'm waiting now for billwhite because he was kind enough to tell me everything is perfect for him but he still haven't answered with a screenshot with his inspector settings.
