I went to install a addon aircraft and it said that FSX is missing simconnect.dll . I've been playing FSX on a 32-Bit Vista version since 2009 and an XP before that and never had any problems like this. But know I am on Windows 7 64-Bit and when I went to select the aircraft while in the FSX program, the game crashed to the desktop with out and error messages afterward. I installed FSX to the default of C:\ Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X
The message while installing the addon said that I was missing the file and that the aircraft therefore might not work. Therefore if I was using FSX Deluxe (which I am) to reload the SDK and if not, then to re-install the game.
******UPDATE******** 11:08 P.M. (PDT- U.S. Pacific)
I tried re-installing by deleting and uninstalling FSX from Program Files (x86) and installing it into C:\Program Files\. Now I can't install the game to my PC. I get an error at the end of the install of disc 2 that says this:
Error to number 0x80040702
Description: Failed to load DLL: GameuxInstallHelper
Setup will now terminate.
This is getting really annoying and I have no idea what to do. This didn't help from Microsoft either ( http://support.microsoft.com/kb/968365) because I didn't have Microsoft Games in the registry. FML![]()
