Thread: about to purchase REX for fsx

    Hi guys.I have FSX with all the ORBX north american add ons.( Dont have REX yet!) I easily get 30-45 fps.I only have a dual core AMD w geforce video card.nothing fancy.You do have to tone down the settings. The Orbx scenery is amazing, just adjust your settings so there is no flicker or pauses and enjoy -- you do not need 60 plus fps -- I have tons of flying time on FSX it is the best flight sim !!!

    You've summed up my whole complaint here! It should be more than adequate.

    I watched a youtube video which showed some interesting tweaks, and I applied them. I don't remember specifying the resolution of the textures I installed, but if given the choice, I would have installed the high-res textures. That was before I knew that the 1100T six core was a weak processor...

    Thanks for the help and advice, though. I dropped some sliders and found a high FPS setting. Oh well, maybe the next computer I build will do better.
