Where can I download the Default Wing Vertex Effect for FSX ? Doing a repair install would not be practical given the addon's I would need to re-install aswell...

It's not available as a download because that would be against the policies of MS. You can install FSX on a second computer just to get the file if necessary.

No, you can't

That is why the consistent advice is always to have a vanilla install of FSX on a spare drive. And to our OP a repair install affects only default files, NOT any addons. But take the advice about a second install, only don't just install it to a spare drive or you WILL screw the pooch as Registry entries will be changed.

Use search function, for exact `second` install procedure.
