Thread: Scenery question

    Default Scenery question

I really like the look of the scenery add ons. However I get a bit confused over the multiple packages.
Is FS Genesis terrain, Gex, and Rex a good overall package for ground and sky? Any other suggestions?
Where does something like FS Scene fall in? Redundant?
Love to hear what you all run for maximum eye candy.

Hi and welcome to the forums,I use this combination for my FSX "basic" scenery,UTX/GEX/REX,Ultimate Terrain is the "mesh" that gives more accurate elevations to mountains etc,GEX gives the texture to the ground, rivers, roads etc and of course REX is weather and clouds, there are other combinations but these three give me the look that I perfer. Then for the specialized areas that I like to fly in(I do "Bush" flying almost exclusively) I use FTX/Orbx packages for the Northwest United States and Canada and Ultimate Alaska X for that area.
