Thread: good fsx setup

    Default good fsx setup

    OK so right now I have an i5 650 @ 3.4 ghz, 8gb ram, and x2 9800 GT and when I run fsx at highish settings it lagggs. So I was thinking of upgrading my PC. Should I get a new gpu like a gtx 560 or a new CPU?

    Overclock the i5 to 4.0 Ghz or a little more,put a good cooling solution on it and grab the GTX 560,that's what I would do but I'm sure you will get other suggestions!

    I dont know what your budget is,
    But I should buy the gtx 560 (actually I am using one )
    Just as aircav1970 said, overclock you cpu to 4ghz or higher.

    I also recommend to install FSX on a (seperate) SSD and use dual boot.
