Thread: Any Possible Way To Get Photoreal Textures Lower Than 4.7 In FS9?

Question Any Possible Way To Get Photoreal Textures Lower Than 4.7 In FS9?

Well i have fsearthtiles. And the lowest resolution you can go within fs9 is 4.7. Is there any possible way to get lower than 4.7? It just doesn't look much better than the default fs9 textures in my opinion. I've looked at Sbuilder, but couldn't really find any guides for fs9. And i was sure as heck not going to just wing it. I would really love to get the nice, crisp, and clear photo-real textures that some add-on scenery's do, I know it's possible. I just don't know how to do it! Any help would be appreciated.
    thanks

No, but you should get nice textures in FS9. In this thread tomorrow I'll show you what I get in my FS9 using FSET and you can compare.
    Thanks,

    Jim

Wow those are some nice textures! I haven't really tried the mountains yet.And the textures aren't bad at all once i get up a little in altitude. Guess i'll just have to settle!
    Thanks!

What area did you generate textures?

What map service are you using?

Are you sure you have FSET set up correctly?
    Thanks,

    Jim

Well i tried the Syracuse(KSYR) and Kennedy Intl area. Those textures looked OK from around 10,000ft. I'm not very good with the service configuration, but it looks like i used "us.maps3.yimg.com" from my .INI file. And i think so, i haven't changed anything, except from the in program menu choices.

OK, in about 20 minutes my run that FSET is on right now will be finished. I'll do the 1 area around KSYR for FS 2004 and I'll take a few more shots for you and post them here.
    Thanks,

    Jim

Not the greatest area, but we are at the mercy of the map servers.
    Thanks,

    How do you do that?
I tried it and it still showed that "Can-not-access" thing
