Thread: 747-400 vs the 777?

  1. Default 747-400 vs the 777?

I was just curious as to how similar they are to learn to fly?

Better start with the 777. More user friendly, responsive, better cockpit... Wait, what Im saying. Start with a small plane. A glider for eg.!
For me the 777 is better for flying. And the 777-300ER is actually larger

I've been flying the PMDG 747 for a long time and was just wondering when their 777 comes out how easy it would be to switch?

    Hi!

If you can handle an aircraft as complex as the PMDG 747 I'm sure you'd be able to fly the 777 too when it comes out. If you're interested in the 777 I can reccommend the United Airlines WorldAirRoutes 777-200 DVD. It shows what goes on in the cockpit of a couple of flights from Chicago OHare to London Heathrow and back after the layover. There are many 777 DVD's I think in their collection so if you don't like United there are other airlines to choose from I think. It doesn't really go into the procedures too much for startup and shutdown etc. but it does have a lot of flying and he does pretty much go through what everything does on all the panels in the aircraft. Anway apologies if you have it already or know about it but aren't interested.

    Hope it might help.
