Anybody use any of these processors for FSX?

The Conroe and Kentsfield processors in that list would be the best ones to go with. Even if the clockspeed is lower than the P4 (Pentium 4) models listed, they will be faster.

I forgot to mention that I already have a Q6600 Kentsfield mentioned in the list already that runs...meh-ily. what I would like to know if steeping down to a Core 2 Duo Extreme X6800 @2.93Ghz would be better or not even if it has two less cores but a faster speed. Or, even if FSX doesn't run particularly well with my quad core, would the quad core be neccessary for future games or would the dual core do it just fine/better than my current processor? Thoughs please.

I wouldn't spend/waste the money. Let it be a lesson and save the money you were going to spend on one of those CPU's to put towards a Sandy Bridge CPU system.
CPU: I7 2600K @ 4.7 ghz, GPU and CPU water cooled
    GPU: EVGA GTX 680 OC
    MEM: Gskill Rippjaw 1600 12800
    MB: Asus P8P67 Pro V3.1

    "Sandy Bridge CPU system"
    You mean motherboard...right?

I don't have a clue about motherboards but aslong as I can fit all my 8GB memory slots/it comes with 8GB memory and it's expandable then..thats alright?
Could you point me to a good one possibly?
