    Default Good plane addons

Although FSX is my main sim, whenever I use FS9 I remember how good it is and all the great addons I have, some pay and loads and loads of freeware, mainly the old payware from the likes of Virtavia (alphasim) and IRIS which is now free. FS9 is still a great sim and I believe to this day there are still more addons for it than FSX despite all the mainstream publishers converting years ago.

Any way I'm looking for a good 747-400 (I already have the RFP-200), a 737NG and an A320 (family), all freeware as I have told myself to only pay for FSX addons.

    My FS9 payware collection goes:
    Captain Sim 707
Just FLight Traffic 2005 (absolutely great, still worth getting though it's a bit dated with 727s still in mainstream service)
    Wilco 737 PIC classic
Various CLS Airbus and MD widebodies

so I have shortage of modern short haul jets, if anyone knows any please shout!

I still have quite an extensive knowledge and collection of addons so if anyone wants advice I may be able to help too

I may start a scenery thread in a few days
Intel Core 2 Duo CPU E4400@2.00 GHz
    4.00 GB RAM (3GB useable: DDR2)
Nvidia GEFORCE 9500 512MB Graphics Card
    Windows 7 32-bit

747-400: iFly (also available for FSX)
737NG: Posky + Paul Scarratt Panel. I reduced the thrust scalar to 0.875, so it's no longer a rocket, even at recommended N1 values.
A32x: Look for vasFMC and Project Airbus. This should leave you with an Airbus that looks like an Airbus and it's operated like an Airbus. An A380 is also available.

    Best regards from Colombia,

Default Browsing for gooplanes using FS9

    greetings Ben
I am a 69 yr old simmer with FS9 with only 6 yrs of simming experience; I love flying small birds such as single/double props either wheeled or floats or both.
Bush flying is my passion mainly because in real life i live in the country on the shore of a lake some 35 miles from Ottawa Canada in Quebec in a small vilage called East Aldfield located in the province of Quebec.
Always on the prowl for good aircrats and bushtype flying adventures mainy in: Northern and Western BC; Alaska; Yukon and the NWT; Newfoundland & Labrador
I stay away from large busy airports and big heavy birds
    Fly safe

    Hi Kevin,

Do you have a good working merge file or can you point me in the right direction... I remember trying it myself a few years back - a simple copy - and I couldn't get it to work correctly... It did merge - but I still had some issues with it...

Scott, there were a couple things that needed to be changed in the aircraft.cfg in order for it to work. Off hand, only thing I can remember is having to change the number of fuel tank selectors to 4. There was something in the trim that needed to be changed as well, but off hand, I don't remember what it is. Ailerons might appear to flutter when you're turning using the autopilot. Not much you can do about that, as I noticed that issue with the iFly 747-400 as well, so that wasn't a result of the merge.

Thanks Kevin - maybe I'll give it another go...

Hi Gerry - for bush flying - if you haven't tried it - get the freeware Maule that was released for 2002 then upgraded to 2004 - one of the best freeware packages for a plane ever released... It's still good even by today's standards...
