Does anyone know how to get the VORs and NDBs to work in free flight? I love to do my own thing other that the jobs but need some nav aids.

Well I note that you can show all the Nav Aids on the Map by ticking the box, but I am only flying the Icon in Alaska at the moment and that is a VFR only machine and it has no ADF or VOR instrument to use. I think the Maule has something on its panel and possibly the RV, so you might try them.
I am waiting for the Carbon Cub VC and hope that it will at least have an ADF...Then I will give that a try. At the moment I am visiting a large number of remote Seaplane Bases (you need to zoom in to see them!).

What box do I tic? Where is it?

OK. Got it thanks.

Well good news. I got the VORs and DMEs to work. Bad news. As of the moment Micrrosoft does not have an aircraft with an ADF, RMI, or HSI with DF needles ro pick up any NDBs.
Hey Microsoft how about the most popular General Aviation airplane with GPS, VOR/ILS, VOR, and ADF.... Cessna 172

Both the Maule M-7 and the Vans RV6 are equipped with dual nav radios. The Maule has both HSI and a VOR2 head. The RV6 has a VOR1 and VOR2 head.
The Carbon Cub will have one SL30 com/nav radio, so I'm assuming that only one VOR1 head will be present. Interesting that it also will have a GTX-330 transponder though. Seems a bit pointless since there's no ATC in Flight, so what difference will being able to change the squawk code make?![]()
