Thread: Active Camera

  1. Default Active Camera

Hi gang, I'm new to Active Camera for FS9, and I barely understood how it works (gotta mention that the manual provided by them is very incomplete and quite hard to understand), and I barely got it to work. Now all seems fine, but I wonder if someone around here knows why I cannot use the numpad keys (8, 2, 4, 6) to look around the aircraft anymore, numpad 7, 9, 1, and 3 however are still working.
PS: Also gotta mention that it's quite frustrating, because what a program has, the other one doesn't have and vice versa, I mean...Active Camera has a lot of nice features but still it lacks the "free movement" of DBS Walk and Follow, just like DBS W&F doesn't have all those nice functions of Active Camera, even tho u can freely move in the sim world. To cut it short, I like Active Camera's "approach" feature, which follows (is looking at) my craft from a still point (among others) but I cannot freely (easily) move wherever I want, I also like DBS which lets me freely (and easily) move around and look at my aircraft from a still point, but in this case it won't follow my craft. That's annoying if u ask meAnyone knows any other alternatives to this two (besides FSCamera and F1View which is a must-have)?
    Kind regards!

  2. Default

Update: it also affects the tower view, even tho all of ACamera's functions are unchecked, is there a way I can get default tower view back when I want?

Yes, numlock is ON. Guess it won't (entirely) work for me...I only keep AC for approach view and those shaking movements u get in the cickpit.

XP, 1GB RAM, 2.09 Ghz. I've reinstalled AC, now I can get the default tower view back, if I reload the flight, but numlocks are still not working.

Try contacting the developer, he has always responded to my questions in a prompt manner.

CessnaFlyer, don't be sorry, you DID try to help me, thank you for that, and you might be right...not sure what to say about the developer..I sent them an e-mail...no reply; but no problem..I got used to this compromise, if I want approach view and all those stuff, gotta drop the numpad and tower view.
