    Hi Jodie !

    I'm recommending X-Plane 10. You'll find help on websites like X-Pilot.com or X-Plane.org.

Laminar Research and Aerosoft are also providing support for this simulator.

    Happy flying !

No AI traffic.. have you played online? It handles 16 players without a hiccup.. can't say the same about FSX at all.

If you buy FSX you will get an empty world plus about 40 cities that also lack details. Flight on the other hand will get him a very highly detailed Alaska and Hawaii. Also it runs on just about any machine imaginable. FSX doesn't even run on the fastest machines of the day so don't bother, there is a reason Microsoft axed the entire product line.
MS flight the way to go with track ir5? I did`nt think flight supported track ir! Also FSX an empty world, no way, even if it was threre`s a world of freeware and payware out there to fill it, unlike MS flight.
If your man has FSX buy track ir as it is just about the most definitive addition for immersive flying you can get.

Empty world? 40 cities? Let's quell the BS, shall we.

note: 224 countries/regions with 15,547 cities, and many of those cities have multiple airports.
Freeware/Payware will also enhance them at the user's discretion.

Look at my signature. 3GHz CPU, 2GB DDR2-800 RAM, AGP 4670. OLD, old, computer, but, it runs FSX fine.
It hard crashes with Flight. Not a CTD, a BSOD, requiring a cold start to recover.

16 multi-players is not AI. This is just a sampling of AI. Mine is set to 26%(149 AI) because the ol' rig won't carry much more.

    Jodie,
Seeing that hubby has a sim he must like, otherwise he wouldn't have equipped it with stick and pedals, the TrackIR suggestion would also be mine. That is one add-on that seems to be a hit with almost all of it's users...Don

Nothing to add as far as suggestions go, HOWEVER! I never married ,but if I had I would hope it would be to to a lady like you.
IF any one out there would like to marry me and buy me a lovely new FS setup I am available for offers.
