Need some of your advice on what to do

I was going to build a new intel based PC but my wife shot me down. So what i am going to do is try and upgrade my current pc. Where should i go? I want to get more performance out of it. My pc is mainly just for fsx. Would changing out my current phenom 965 BE that has been OC to 3.8 to one of the newer AMD chips be a good idea? I cant overclock past 3.8. Wont get stabel. I was thinking upgrane the CPU, upgrade to a H100 cooler, and a new case. What would be your advice on the next rout to take? Currently I am getting an average of 17-20fps on the ground depending on where I at and get 29-30 in the sky. Locked my frames at 30fps. The plan was to build a i5 based PC and overclock it to around 4.5

Have you tweaked your FSX? You should be getting something way better than that. I use the 945 BE un-clocked and get 35-40 FPS even with a lesser video card. What is your Windows Experience Score for Processor and Memory?

Here are some screen shots I just took of my current setting. I mainly fly the pmdg 747 and md11. I use active sky 2012, pro flight, emulator,fs captain, fly tampa, UTX, my traffic x. What tweaks should I be using?

turn off autogen, lens flare and light bloom.

run FSX in the same resolution as your monitor.

run water at 1X high.

Thanks, I will try these when I get off tomorrow and post how it works out. Hopefully it will save me from having to upgrade

Hello, so I got really busy last week but got around to trying the mentioned tweaks. I already used that website a while back to tweak my system but I did apply the other things you had said to do and I actually saw a decrees in performance. I have no idea why.
