    Question Another Newbie Questions Thread!

Hi all, First of my Name is Chris, 27 from the United Kingdom. It's been years since and I've always wanted to try the flight simulator scene out ( Usually Football Manager ) But I'm having a problem with what flight simulator version my machine will be capable of playing without and 'slow down' due to my machines specs:

    Acer Aspire Revo R3600:

    Processor: Intel Atom (230, 1.60 GHz, 533 MHz FSB, 512KB L2 cache)
Operating System: Windows Vista® Home Premium
    RAM: 2GB
    Hard Drive: 320GB
    Graphics: Integrated (nVidia ION Chipset)

Many Thanks, Chris ( Might be long time before i reply as it's 02:55 in the morning and bed is calling

Also sorry if this is super newbie & really would like to do the passenger routes with 737's & 747 etc...

Go with FS2004 to start with… Learn the basic’s then progress to FSX, that’s how I started… Get a good joystick like the Logitech Xtreme to start and see if this what you really want to do… Be forewarned FLIGHT SIMMING IS ADDICTVE, it has been known to give you many hours of pleasure and will make you explore the world in a whole new light… It will also make you want to expand to new levels and post your question’s and flight photo’s to our forum, it may keep you up at night, it may make you sit for long periods of time, it may make you learn how to fly a real aircraft, and you will probably go to airshows and all other flight related events…

    Sincerely:

    David…

That is like a netbook computer and even FS 2004 is going to struggle on that. Might think about hardware first!
    Thanks,

    Jim
