Thread: Libardo Guzman Concorde issues

  1. Unhappy Libardo Guzman Concorde issues

Good day! I'm using FS9 and I just downloaded Libardo Guzman's Concorde (2011), from here, from flightsim, (here), and it is very good, but...there are some glitches...I can't get the other doors (not the main exit) to open, pressing SHIFT+E+2 (as well as SHIFT+E+3 and SHIFT+E+4 and so forth) will activate the main exit. And the visor/nose control lever, won't activate the nose/visor, pressing F5 through F8 however does activate it. I noticed that there is a slightly different version of this Concorde on simviation (this one), I would like to know which one of this 2 is the newest. The "simviation version" has workable doors, but the afterburners can't be activated/deactivated, they just go one functioning if they have enough "gas". Many things described here are not working on the version taken from flightsim...Could the version from simviation be better?! But still, that one doesn't have...controllable afterburners...I'm confused..any help would be greatly appreciated!!!!!! Regards!

If you gave a couple of monkeys a box of ballpoints, enough paper, and enough time, they'd eventually finish up writing the complete works of Shakespeare

Aircraft with slightly more complex systems than your average twinjet airliners with not all features working seem to be a feature (pardon the pun) of these downloadable planes.

The default Concorde visor/nose controls seem to conflict with the flaps (F5-F8). If you start up FS9 then go to: Options -> Controls -> Assignments -> then select the General Aircraft Commands you should find four Concorde visor commands. Assign them to some sort of logical-to-you key combinations. Now I'm going out on a limb here, but since they are controls intrinsic to FS9 they "should" work for all models. Once they have their own keystroke commands and don't conflict with the flaps, they "should" work from the control lever.

I only found out about these a few days ago from a very helpful someone here.

Thanks alot mates, anyway, overall I'm satisfied with the Concord taken from here, but those doors that wont open are gettin' on my wick. If I get mad enough, I just might buy SSTSIM or PSS Concorde...
Anyway, thanks again for your help, greatly appreciated!!

Also, can I autoland with Libardo Guzman's Concorde? As far as I know SSTSIM Concorde can do that.

Go for the SSTSIM..... and everything works as it should.

I have had this problem keep trying it like try to press shift then E+2 at the same time it takes some time to get it perfect

The door issue can be fixed by installing a gauge by Rob Barendregt. Search the library for- rcbse-10.zip

Shift+E+2 is the only other door command.

The nose/visor animation is assigned to the flaps commands in the model and there is no way to change that.

There is no conflict between the flaps commands and the Concorde commands. This plane is....less than perfect in this regard.

It uses the legacy Concorde gauges in the 2D and VC. That is a compiled gauge so there is no way to edit it to control the flaps.

The only thing it will control is the pseudo visor in the 2D.

The SimV upload has an earlier date, so I guess it is older than the version here (cf2011a.zip).

This one includes many more textures and is split up for seperate FS9/FSX installs.

Other than that I suspect they are the same.

Thanks for help! I knew it, this version (from flightsim) looks better. I just got into possession of SSTSIM Concorde, it's obviously more realistic, but...it just hit me like a rock in the face It seems the autopilot is not workin' but I'm very sure I am the one that's not working, I still have a lot to learn, it's panel is quite different that Libardo Guzman's one, which is quite far from reality, BTW (but it works). I find the manual provided by SSTSIM pretty poor on info, I'm seeking for some better manuals of it. Thanks again for your help mates!
