Thread: throttle axis assignments

    Default throttle axis assignments

I need to move my throttle axis over to another position. Did that, works fine - as long as I'm in a single engine plane. But how do I get both engines (in a twin) to respond to one axis? Initially (default) one lever did both engines. When I re-assign an axis, I can't seem to use that same axis again for the other engine without the system deleting the first engine assignment. How do I get both engines to respond to one axis?

    Default

OK guys -found the solution myself. Maybe several others are curious about this too...
When you assign an axis to an engine, it has to be a one-to-one thing. (FSX) You can't assign a single axis to more than one engine. However ... down at the bottom of the axis assignment list, there's another entry - THROTTLE AXIS. THIS is where you (effectively) assign multiple engines to respond to a single throttle lever. But you don't assign individual engines - just assign whatever axis you want to the THROTTLE and that axis will operate all engines simultaneously. On the Saitek throttle, it indicates the axis letter and 'rotation'. On a Logitech stick, it indicates SLIDER.
    Problem solved.
