    Lightbulb A319/320 Home Cockpit?!?!?

    Hello,

Does anybody here on the forums have a A320/319 style home cockpit? I was interested in building one and I wanted some advice from some others just to gain some general knowledge on small things like-What is a good material to build it with?-What are the best gauges and PFD's you can get...etc. Any information will be appreciated. Thanks in advanced,

    -Tyler

If you are looking to build most of it yourself, certain woods and plastics are better suited than others. MDF in particular is a good material to work with because it is easy to shape, form, sand, etc. If you're working with a big budget, there are also plenty of vendors out there that sell A320 MIP's, etc. The best gauges/Flight displays probably come from Project Magenta, although there are some alternatives. A good point to start any project is figuring out what overall level of realism you want/can afford and what section of the cockpit you are going to take on first.
