Thread: Problem with using Add On Scenery

  1. Default Problem with using Add On Scenery

I have a problem with FSX Add On scenery and I wonder if anyone out there can help me. I have downloaded a number of scenery files from the FlightSim web site and copied the folder with the Scenery and Texture folders into the FSX Add On scenery folder. I then go to the File Library and click on the Add Area button to add the new files to my scenery list. I can find the new scenery folder but when I click on it and press OK, I can't get it to add to the scenery list. I know you have to get out of FSX and then come back in after making a scenery change, but I can't seem to get the new scenery files to add to the list.

    Any suggestions?????

    Check out this video: http://iblueyonder.com/video-tutoria...-in-windows-7/
It's a bug with FSX and Windows7. As you have not included any system specs, I assume here you runW7

Thank you so much for the videos. That is exactly what I needed. I was getting the same results just like the video shows, and occasionally I could add scenery but most times not. Knowing what the video indicated, I probably "accidently" clicked in the center area and got the results I wanted but never knew why. More importantly, I could never duplicate it. I was even contemplating deinstalling FSX and reinstalling it again, thinking I had a file intialization problem.

Again, thanks to both of you for the info. I now a "happy camper" again.
