    Default FMC help ?

How come the stars at this site http://www.ivao.aero/db/ss/airport.asp?Id=klax are not shown in my fmc ARR Page for KLAX?

Most of my routes require the stars which are shown on the site above ^ but these stars are not shown in my FMC.

Someone please help me? Am I doing this wrong ?

Also using FSBUILD has told me to use civet4 STAR for approach into KLAX but i cannot find it in my ARRV Page. Help Please help. I dont understand this.

You have to tell us what FMC package you are using.

May I ask what aircraft you are using? Also, try and look on the aircraft developer's website and check to make sure there is no updates.

    Hi:

Could it be that this STAR has been replaced now by another?

I couldn't find CIVET4 in the list of STARs from the following AirNav link (dated FAA INFORMATION EFFECTIVE 31 MAY 2012):

    http://www.airnav.com/airport/KLAX/

The (**NEW**) and (**CHANGED**) indicate so....just a thought...

So what are my options? How do I overcome such situations where I need to use a different STAR or SID?

    Thanks bro !

If you are required/asked to fly a STAR that is not found in your FMC database (e.g. your CIVET4), one option (provided you have the necessary SPD/ALT data on this STAR) could be to manually input its constituent waypoints into your FMC. PMDG 747 FMC is versatile enough to allow you to do this.

CIVET4 has been removed from the current AIRAC

    Effective 23 August 2012

    Ending 20 September 2012

    digital - Terminal Procedures (1209)

Your database is not up to date and therefore won't reflect the change where CIVET4 was removed.

Depending on your FMS/FMC, you can update the database by installing a current AIRAC from:

    http://www.navigraph.com/www/default.asp

This is a subscription based service, and they provide the current AIRAC used in the actual aircraft FMS/FMC in the real world.

    Good luck.
