    Default Gradual Transition

Could someone assist in determining how can I change the configuration file in FS2002 which has as a default the Gradual Transition ON (Views/View Options/Spot Plane/Gradual Transition Box)?

The alternative of saving an initial flight with this selection on has been tried but does not seem to be a practical, suitable solution.

Have been trying to identify this item in the cfg file with no success, so as to change from True to False, 1 to 0, or whatever.

Tahks a million for any assistance or orientation.

The default flight method is the only way.

    Hope this helps,

Thank you very very much for your information, which 'solves' my problem with gradual transition.

    Best of luck.

I just used the default flight, turned it off, saved it with the same name (Default Flight - Meigs Field) and selected it as my startup flight. I can't stand gradual transition.

1.) We design for reality, not for idealism.
Thus, you will not see virtual cabins on our aircraft. You can not see inside the real thing anyway, unless you are looking into the sun. You will find virtual cockpits but they will not be visible from outside for the same reason.
2.) We design for people with real computers. Thusly, we will not waste polygons on superfluous parts. We will use a texture when there is no noticeable difference between it and a group of performance wasting parts. We will model our aircraft efficiently. If you do not like it, too bad.
3.) We will give you the latest features, but we WILL NOT sacrifice visual accuracy to implement them. Accuracy comes before eye candy.[/font size]

What does gradual transition do that you don't like? I'm just curious.

    Thanks,

Seem to be a personal thing: Me, I like the rolling, meandering change of view. Gives me time to adjust.
My uncle, by contrast, hates gradual transitions with a pasison and thinks they are the programming of Satan. A complete and utter waste of resources.

There ya go, each to their own. That's FS for ya...
