Hello buddies,

If they are ai aircraft they usually do not have cockpit views/panels to reduce loading FS down since thay are not intended to be user piloted. In addition a good ai design has adjustments in its .air and .aircraft.cfg files modifying the way the aircraft loading is initialized since ai are only rendered a few miles out from your aircraft position. This prevents the aircraft from exceeding its landing weight and having its CG maintained since ai have not been burning fuel from their departure airports.
ai aircraft can also be modeled with less 3D detail to keep the polygon contents down for better rendering efficiency.
There is a setting in the .air file that designates if a model is intended for ai only that keeps it from appearing as a choice for user aircraft selection. This is not always set.
If the model is intended for ai the uploader should designate that and an "AI" icon will appear in the flightsim library listing. If it is a complete user flyable model it will have a green checkmark ahead of the listing. Repaints have no icon and should designate in the description that it is textures only and indicate the specific model the textures are to be used with.
If not an ai model then check in the panel.cfg if present. Some use an "alias" statement that points to another model's panel and those must be installed on the reference aircraft.
Many aircraft with fully functional VCs have no 2D panel included, assuming the VC to be adequate (I still prefer a 2D panel for landing); many airliners, whether having a VC or not, have no panel included since these are rather generic and there are many separate panels available for them. In either case a search of the libraries here should find a suitable panel.
