There aren't many sound sets for vintage aircraft; if you can't find one for a specific plane look for a different plane using the same engine and try its sounds. For WWI aircraft you might try the CFS/CFS2 oriented websites.

Thanks for the advice sir, will do that, sounding like a Cessna 172 spoils the illusion completely.

    Hello,

In the interval you can use the sounds from the Jenny (default AC) instead the Cessna .. lol
BTW .. what is the F2B Bristol you use
    This very good one ?

If you gave a couple of monkeys a box of ballpoints, enough paper, and enough time, they'd eventually finish up writing the complete works of Shakespeare

    Hello,
Have got Frank Eltons brf2b.zip, the Shuttleworth Collection one. Have seen the real one flying, only a few hours drive south from me.Not sure it has the authentic engine though, it sounds very much like a Merlin, but detuned. Will try your suggestions, thanks

Another good sound for WWI era aircraft is from Stuart Green's Fokker DVII, a nice plane itself -

And for rotary engine aircraft I use the SimTech DR.1 sounds. (I believe it's in the libraries here, it's been freeware for several years.)
