27 inch monitor

Hi guys,

I'm hsving an FSX computer upgrade and would appreciate any suggestions as to the best 27" monitor.

Having looked at the specs of several 27" models, I'm down to a choice between (a) one of the Samsung models (they all look very bright and sharp) (b) a Benq EW2730 or GW2750HM - although the 2730 runs at 70watts. (c) Idek Iiyama ProLite G2773HS which has good specs for a good gaming machine.

Samsungs are fairly readily available to see in hight street shops and have great screen qualities, but it's more difficult to find a 27" Benq. Idek I can't find at all.

Hence my question - Does anyone have any first hand experience of the latter 2 models as I would hate to order one then be disappointed.

My video card will be an nVidea GTX580, with dual link DVI and mini HDMI outputs

Since I'm a bit restricted for space, a larger unit is out of the question.

I would sincerely appreciate your views and suggestions.

I would suggest you check out Newegg.com. They list 28 27" monitors with customer reviews for each. A large majority of the reviews are either 4 or 5 eggs out of 5. So in your case it might boil down to price and availability in your area.

Ive been using an I-Inc/Haans 28" 27.5 1900 x 1200 to be exact, for a yr and am very pleased with it. Infact Im buying two more to be used in surround.
