Same as the Cessna, just takes more real estate.

It is just like following a VOR's radial enroute.

-Tune the nav 1 radio to the VOR's frequency.
-Set the course to the radial used in the approach.
-Steer the plane to keep the CDI centered.

This will take you to the airport where you can land the plane manually.

You might want to try your local library. See if they have William Kershner's Instrument Flying book. Also, you can go to faa.gov, and drill down into the Regulations and Rule link and look for the instrument flying handbook. You can download some or all of the latter, and print it. Best of all, it's free.

There's lots of entertainment and tutorials here:

You 'll find two tutorials on navigating VORs in there. Scroll down past the CD/kindle ad.

The course knob the 734 should be on the MCP section of the panel.

Besides the usual sliding indicators for situational awareness if the default has it are pointers that can be selercted to be coupled to each nav radio that will point to the VOR location independent of the course knob. They can assist in determining if you are in a TO or FROM situation. They should appear on the enhanced navigation display (where your flight path is shown).

On the PMDG 737NG seriesthe VOR centering guides and ILS/LOC indicators will show over the attitude indicator section of the PFD and also can be switched on for the nav display.
