Well that makes it clear to me. Thanks for explaining it, I just dont know if you need to edit your aircraft to do this flight in FS?

I am sure this can be easily accomplished by changing a value in the aircraft's cfg file. A more experienced member will have to take you from here though as I'm not a "tinkerer".

Oh, that really helps. I was looking for an article about the technical aspects of this flight. Thanks

    For an FS9/FSX G-EUNA go here: http://www.fsdownload.com/Microsoft_..._47554755.html
The aircraft.cfg doesn't reflect the added fuel tankage, so, not having flown the route, I don't know what it's actual range is in the sim...Don

Wouldnt it be better for BA to use an A321 or 737?

Only the A318 is certified for a the steep (5 degrees iirc) approach into London City. From a management point of view London City Airport makes perfect sense, because of it's proximity to the city center (remember, this flight is targeted at businesspeople) and low traffic. Heathrow charges high landing fees and is congested, getting ideal gate slots may also be a problem.

Larger aircraft use more fuel. If you only need 32 seats, then an A318 is just fine.

That makes sense. Im just curious if a 737 (lets say, 400 or 800)can fly non stop from america to europe, without any modifications made to it.
