Default Cessna 340 in the Desert

Just a straightforward flight from Twentynine Palms, California, to Eagle Roost Airpark in Aguila, Arizona. Although not depicted completely accurately in stock FSX, in real life the Eagle Roost runway is basically just a street in the middle of the town - there are several similar "airfields" in the town which basically make it one big GA facility!

I like flying in this part of the world as the weather is almost always good, apart from being stinking hot, which is something you don't have to endure in FS thankfully, although the effect on takeoff distances is quite pronounced.

Enroute we pass over airfields at Desert Center and Blythe, in California.

Part 2 coming up in a moment.

Better have your sunscreen on Leo, your going to need it. Fantastic set of desert shots, I like that 340, gotta put that on my list!!

Nice screens. I've always wished that FS had a better rendition of desert terrain, however.

Thanks everyone. Rich, I do agree it's not the best, although FSX is at least an improvement on the "leopard print" FS9 ground textures.

Amazing, that Cessna fits well into the desert. I enjoyed watching them!
